Well, it seems as though some confusion happened when the premiere date for Smallville was shown as Oct. 2nd on last night's repeat of "Gemini" on the CW. I have to admit I think that is a mistake since for the most part it always premieres right before or after my bday in Sept, but we will let you know what we find out! Also, Comic-Con is next weekend and scheduled to appear is Alison Mack, Justin Hartley and Sam Witwer (Doomsday). Also, new clips will be shown. We will bring you live coverage from our friends at Starkville since due to medical reasons I could not travel this year!

Mark Millar to Do Superman for 2011? (7/1/08)
In a recent interview with the Daily Record, Millar said "Since I was a kid I've always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century," Millar said. "I've been planning this my entire life. I've got my director and producer set up, and it'll be 2011. This is how far ahead you have to think. The Superman brand is toxic after that last movie lost [money], but in 2011 we're hoping to restart it. Sadly I can't say who the director is, but we may make it official by Christmas." Now, this is all speculation and heresay, but to read the full story, head to "Millar"!

The interviewer then asked him when he was doing the next Superman, and said the project was taking a long time. Routh, 28, responded: "I know, they're busy writing a script and then I trust we'll be starting next year, early next year. That's my timeline anyway."

Terrence Stamp (Zod/Jor-El) Discusses His Cult Idol Status! (6/12/08)
"Veteran English actor Terence Stamp isn’t the first performer you’d think of to play the silly bad guy in a spy spoof. Sure, he was the vile villain General Zod in the 1970s Superman flicks. But that was serious business. Still, Stamp gets his lampoonish sneer on as Ziegfried, an operative of the evil crime syndicate KAOS in the updated Get Smart which opens next Friday. Stamp learned from the Superman gig to never say never. That Zod part, which he hesitated accepting at first, rejuvenated his career and made him a pop culture reference he may never shake. He’s OK with that, however. A sense of humour helps." To read more, head "here"! Also, many of you know that Mr. Stamp is also a Smallville favorite, as the voice of "Jor-El.".

Interesting New Update on Chopra Rumor! (5/30/08)
Now, it seems the rumor has changed, according to MovieWeb, "Indian actress Priyanaka Chopra may be going from Bollywood to Metropolis if the latest rumblings are to be believed. According a report in Zee News, Chopra has been offered the role of Superman's love interest in Superman: The Man of Steel. Officially, Chopra and the studios aren't saying anything, but according to sources the actress has been offered the role and has almost accepted. The role will be that of a lady scientist who will be romantically involved with the Man of Steel." So, it seems that maybe she won't be taking over Lois Lane after all! To read more, head to "here"!

According to our sources, Priyanka has been offered the role of Superman’s leading lady in the latest sequel and she has almost given her final nod though the official statement is yet to be released." New Green Arrow Film? (5/21/08)
According to "CoventryTelegraph.net," "Details are emerging of a new superhero movie project called Green Arrow: Escape from Supermax, a brilliant film concept in which the DC Comics superhero archer is locked up in a hi-tech prison packed with an amazing array of comicbook villains. It's a very fresh and incredibly promising idea for a superhero movie and a great way to bring Green Arrow - seen in Smallville played by Justin Hartley - to the big screen." To read more about this, head to the link above!
John Williams Scoring New Superman Sequel? (5/20/08)
According to "ScreenRant," "Interestingly, according to their sources, John Williams is also lined up to do the music for the Superman Returns sequel Superman: Man of Steel. Normally, I wouldn't make mention of a random blurb such as that, however I received word a few weeks back that Williams was indeed meeting with Warner Brothers about possibly working on the music for Man of Steel. Of course, the Superman sequel is still in early stages of development - director Bryan Singer and the studio are meeting with writers on the project. And there are those who don't think it'll get made to begin with. But the fact that the Globe brought it up on their own is a bit too coincidental."
Chloe is In, Supergirl Out? (5/18/08)
According to SyFyPortal.com, "A sigh of relief could be heard by "Smallville" fans when Allison Mack's return for next season was finally confirmed. Unfortunately Laura Vandervoort's return as Kara (aka Supergirl) is not so certain. In fact, the recent The CW upfront presentation made it clear that even if Vandervoort is back, it won't be as a series regular. "They announced the cast ... and I'm not a part of it," Vandervoort told TV Guide. "We were all surprised when they chose not to bring me back as a regular, but I'm sure I'll be back for one or two" episodes." To learn more head to the link highlighted above!

Products of the Month for July!BURBANK, Calif. (June 19, 2008) – Rocked by the mysterious death of Lionel Luthor and the sudden disappearance of his son, Lex, the town of Smallville will be put further on edge this fall with the arrival of two new villains, as Sam Witwer (“Battlestar Galactica”) and Cassidy Freeman (“Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee”) join the cast of “Smallville” (Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW) as series regulars for the hit show’s eighth season. Witwer will play Davis Bloome, a charismatic Metropolis paramedic who – when he isn’t saving people – is forced to confront a burgeoning darkness inside of him that just might be a harbinger of doom. Freeman will play Tess Mercer. Handpicked by Lex Luthor to succeed him before he vanished, Tess arrives in Smallville as acting CEO of LuthorCorp. Beneath her mysterious allure lies a cunning ruthlessness to match her mentor’s.“We’re thrilled that Sam and Cassidy will be joining the cast, and we have some very exciting things in store for them, their characters and ‘Smallville’ fans for this season,” said executive producers Kelly Souders, Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer in a joint statement. “They are both incredibly talented performers, and we cannot wait to begin to work with them.” Best known for his role as Alex “Crashdown” Quartararo on the acclaimed series “Battlestar Galactica,” Witwer is also featured in the forthcoming “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” video game. His previous credits include “Stephen King’s The Mist” (written and directed by Frank Darabont) and guest-starring roles on a number of series, including “Dexter,” “Cold Case,” “Enterprise,” “Angel,” “Dark Angel” and “ER,” among many others. Freeman previously appeared in the feature film “Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee,” which debuted at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in 2007. Smallville Season 8 Spoilers!
The emerald clad archer -- played by Justin Hartley -- will be appearing on a permanent basis in the eighth season of the superhero series in an attempt to bring a familiar face to the series, especially due to the many changes the show will go through next year.
However, unlike the previous Green Arrow story lines, the new episodes of "Smallville" will focus more on Ollie's mysterious billionaire past instead of his twilight identity as a fully-formed superhero.
At the end of the seventh season, both Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk (Lex Luthor and Lana Lang) said their goodbyes to the show, and the Maid of Steel (Laura Vandervoort) has been reduced from series regular to guest star status. Kreuk however will be returning to the series for as many as eight episodes but an official number has yet to be confirmed.
There will also be a gentle introduction of new characters on the show to replace the long-time villain Lex Luthor. The main addition is of course Doomsday, the comic book villain that succeeded in killing Superman. Another bombshell baddie, Tess, will also have her eyes set on the Man of Steel as she takes control over all of Lex's assets.

Villains Announced for Season 8!
(Official Press Release!)
More Hints & Spoilers!
Source: ScreenRant (7/4/08) "This new season will be dealing with Clark Kent’s dual identity forming as he finally takes a job at the Daily Planet, at a desk across from Lois Lane and what I take as a clue that he will be flying: the creative team says that “all the Superman lore is going to come to fruition this year.” In my mind, The CW wants to see the classic outline of Superman on the screen, and the new team is following the network’s whim rather than trying to stick to, or take their own adaptive approach to the storytelling Gough and Millar started."

Source: ScreenRant- "How do you find a missing superhero? Well, by having a bunch of superheroes look for him! Those heroes being what’s coined as the return of the Justice League: Green Arrow, Aquaman and Black Canary. Alan Ritchson and Alaina Huffman will be reprising their respective roles of such, and we’ll also be seeing Martian Manhunter, at least in the first episode."
-Chances are good for Tom Welling fans that we will see an unshaven Clark as the story picks up a few months after the previous finale. TV Guide also says what Clark's surprise is for Lois: He's taking the job at the Daily Planet, right acros from her desk. "This season's theme is 'double identities'," executive producer Kelly Souders told TV Guide. "It's about the Superman identity emerging as Clark Kent tries to maintain a normal life — or the appearance of a normal life." "The cameraderie as they work side-by-side that everyone loves from the DC Comics and all the Superman lore is going to come to fruition this year," Souders continues. "The two of them are thrown together in some unfortunate situations for Clark. She becomes a little bit of an obstacle to him saving the world, when he's on a deadline."

Episode Two: "Plastique" (TBA)
"Plastique" does indeed involve Bette Sans Souci, the character from the DC Comics universe. In this version she is a "15 year old street kid" who is injured in an explosion, and Chloe asks her to move in. Contrary to some reports that Chloe will be serving time for a while... in actuality, Chloe will no longer be incarcerated by the time this episode happens. Justin Hartley (Oliver) and Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy) do not appear in this episode. This episode will explore Clark's first day on his new job and his teaming with Lois.
The character of paramedic Davis Bloom makes his first appearance in this episode, and he interacts primarily with Chloe.
